Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
What if my home is not a 'Million Dollar Dream Home'

A:  We understand your concern, that your home is not comparable to the large dream homes that are popular home raffle items. However, we feel that normal homes are a much more realistic option for non-profit organizations and potential raffle ticket purchasers as well. In fact the average 3 bedroom 2 bath home is quite often perceived as a better raffle choice for non profits to use.

It is these normal homes that most Americans are looking to buy and sell. Not the multi million dollar examples. The dream home raffles have been happening in large amount since 1991. However, our economy is in a different position these days. And most people who have an extra $100 still may not be able to afford the taxes or even the utility bills on such a large scale home.

Non profits can still benefit from homes of lesser value. As you will notice in our example scenario (http://usahomeraffle.com/EverybodyWins.asp), the appraised home value is only $300,000. It is these Main Street homes that we are looking to help get raffled off so that we may be a catalyst for the new direction of Americas economy.

In addition, smaller, local non-profits will be looking for homes that they can raffle and still make a profit without having to sell 10,000  20,000 or even 30,000 tickets. A smaller value home is more reasonable to non-profits. With a higher value home, they would have to sell much more tickets just to break even.
